Antonella Murgia began her acting career in 1963’s The Strange Type, which cemented her place among Italy’s greatest actresses. Antonella brightens the Dark Ages with some public nudity in Il Decameron No. 3 Le piu belle donne del Boccaccio (1972) and shows her three Bs in Mia moglie, un corpo per l'amore (1972). She has spent most of her career appearing in European films, although she has made some notable appearances in American productions, including 1978’s The Squeeze and 1981’s Reborn, which was a joint project between Italian, Spanish, and American production companies. In it, she plays Michael Moriarty’s girlfriend who develops “stigmata” and is pursued by a crazy-assed holy man, played artfully by the already crazy Dennis Hopper. The film also features her finest nude scenes, including a nice, long, albeit dark look at her stark-raving-naked body as she gets out of bed and walks around the room.
