Making it in the Big Apple is not an easy feat, and if anyone knows that, it’s Carol. She appeared in two films about young city gals trying to make go of it, the first being the 1976 comedy The Yum Yum Girls about a would-be model from the Midwest who moves to New York. Four years later, Carol starred as one of a trio of ladies working at a restaurant while trying to land their dream jobs in the Troma film Waitress! A nighty-clad Carol wakes up in her dingy basement apartment and the minute she steps out onto the sidewalk, she’s getting chased by hooded thugs and having her shirt ripped off by urban cowboys. It’s hard to blame her for disappearing from screens after that, but it’s a shame we never saw Carol’s Bevar before she left!
