Hope Clarke, an actress, dancer, vocalist, and choreographer, began her career in front of the footlights performing in West Side Story. She’s a real Broadway baby and has danced with Alvin Ailey, Black Nativity, and Katherine Dunham. She even choreographed Jelly’s Last Jam with Gregory Hines, which got them nominated for a Tony award. But she wins the booby prize for Book of Numbers (1973), the blaxploitation flick that is her only foray into the dance of skin.
