Born Kao Chin Su-mei, this tasty Taiwanese actress and singer burst onto the scene in 1987 and when she appeared in the fantasy adventure comedy Xian sheng pian gui. After filming roles in 1988’s Hero of Tomorrow and Human Sentiment Law, May landed the starring role in Ang Lee’s 1993 dramedy romace The Wedding Banquet and made her nudecomer debut by stepping out of a shower and showing off her knockout knockers. She’d go on to make a few more films after, including Magic Sword (1993) and Woman Soup (2001), while also releasing a few Mandopop albums, and doing wedding photography on the side.
