Noted Iberian director Mariano Ozores hijo combines voter manipulation and behind-the-scenes copulation in his fanciful electoral farce Alcalde por elección (1976). With a title that loosely translates to Mayor by Election, which rhymes, perhaps coincidentally, with "prayer for erection," Ozores hijo's campaign for rib-tickling indecency takes party politics to rarely scaled heights of erotic hilarity.
