Italian exploitation maven Bruno Mattei dials down the gore and amps up the sex for the giallo thriller Attrazione pericolosa (1993). Gabriele Gori stars as an intrepid young man who goes undercover to probe the mysterious circumstances of his mother’s death. As he circles the horrible truth, he finds himself tangling with a filmmaker who’s supposed to be dead (David Warbeck) and a woman who may be his sister (Monica Seller). Blood ties don’t slow the flirtation between Gori and Seller--the couple light up the screen in torrid love scenes captured by Mattei in luxuriously long takes.
