Sexy: Bramwell Sexy Scenes

This PBS drama from 1995 harked back a hundred years earlier to when women were not expected to work as medical practitioners. In fact, they weren’t even expected to learn about medicine. Nurses? Sure, clean out the bedpan but don’t diagnose. So of course, someone had to step up and change things – cue Eleanor Bramwell (Jemma Redgrave), who has had just about enough when her supervising doctor makes a dumb mistake and a mother-to-be dies. Eleanor soon opens her own infirmary, The Thrift but has to face insurmountable odds to survive. Just like this series did.
