A true late 60’s series, Bright Promise was set in the town of Bancroft, home of Bancroft College and scores of students and faculty members who live a daily soap opera of problems, friendships, loves, and losses. And when that wasn’t enough, it also dangled a little adultery and murder the audience’s way. Running for three years and starring Dana Andrews as Thomas Bosley, not to mention a much younger Dabney Coleman, this series has been largely forgotten by all but the most dedicated fans.
