Yet another hopeful entry in the “Please make our hospital show just HALF as popular as ER” sweepstakes, City of Angels had the distinction of being an ‘inner-city’ series. (In other words, populated mainly by black people.) Sure, an African-American intensive doctor show may seem like a potentially winning concept, yet the show never found an audience. Hardly an original experiment, though actors Blair Underwood and Hill Harper did the best they could. Fans of beautiful women should take note that this series offered both Vivica A. Fox and Gabrielle Union, so there’s something worth getting excited about.
