Along with Dallas and Knot’s Landing, this one stands as one of the great-grandpappies of nighttime soap operadom. Various backstabbings, love affairs and typical serial histrionics are the order of the day as the Carrington’s (Colorado’s wealthiest oil family) do all sorts of nasty things to one another. Perhaps best remembered for its numerous catfights and the introduction of a sinfully sexy young Heather Locklear, Dynasty is old-school trash TV at its most addicting…and I bet that thousands of fans would love to see this one on DVD someday.
