I don’t want to come off xenophobic or anything, but here’s what I’ve learned: whenever aliens come to visit Earth, it’s NEVER for a good reason. The heroes of Earth: Final Conflict (a.k.a. Battleground Earth) learn this a bit too late. Sure, the “Taelons” offer the solutions to crime and disease, but at what cost? Suffice to say that gunplay happens eventually. The series somehow still lurches on after five seasons, though I suspect it plays mainly in the 3AM Sunday time slot.
