The grand-daddy of Fluff TV, Entertainment Tonight sure LOOKS a lot like a bona-fide news show, when in fact they churn out more manure than six racetracks. I can’t imagine there’d ever be a massive audience for stories about celebs in rehab and the clothes that Nicole Kidman wore to the supermarket. Yet this one (and its sister series Extra) remains one of the most popular shows on American television, thereby proving that we collectively have no life of our own. The daily sight of Mary Hart’s legs isn’t nearly enough to salvage this low-minded pabulum. Still, if you simply MUST know who Colin Farrell is currently screwing, stay tuned.
