Sexy: Getting By Sexy Scenes

Take a white woman with two daughters and a black woman with two sons, and what have you got? No, not a porno movie (good idea, though), but the short-lived 1993 sitcom Getting By, starring a few of our favorite TV tantalizers. Cindy Williams played Cathy Hale, mother to moppet Julie and teenage cutie Nikki; Telma Hopkins was Dolores Dixon, who, along with her two good-natured sons, shared her living quarters with the lily-white Williams and her doe-eyed progeny. The series lasted only two seasons (switching networks in the process) before getting the axe; perhaps if they’d called it Getting Bi. . . .
