Who will save the struggling nightclub of ex-stripper Julie Carmen in Kiss Me a Killer (1991)? She could always come out of retirement; instead, she’s willing to give drifter Robert Beltran a chance to sing for his supper. That pays off too, since Beltran turns out to be one smooth saloon singer. He’s also a smooth operator, and Beltran and Carmen are soon hitting some high notes of their own. Too bad that Julie’s husband co-owns the bar, and he’s in the way of the real big money. Fortunately, Beltran’s easily persuaded to help out with some marital murdering.
