The mother of a young cellist named Marianne dies. After the funeral, Marianne finds out that her father has been having a long and illustrious affair with another woman. Marianne, determined to find out who this woman was, neglects a lot of things in her life, including her boyfriend. She finds out that her father’s mistress is a pianist named Béatrice, and the two wind up becoming good friends who reminisce about music together. Other characters come in and the film takes on a nostalgic tinge regarding childhood.

Valerie Chrunchant plays a younger version of Marianne’s nanny, who, in a reminiscence climbs into a bathtub where we see a little bit of butt, a little bit of bush, and a lot of boobs as she sings and talks with a little girl. Jeanne Balibar plays Marianne. She crosses the room to show some sideboob and a whole lot of rear. The fine promises of nudity in this movie were definitely kept!
