Alternately titled Breakin’ the Rules and Brooklyn Love Story, the nostalgic urban drama Who Shot Patakango? (1990) centers on a group of teenagers living in Eisenhower-era Brooklyn. When a gang member opens fire on the teens––all of whom attend a vocational high school in a tough part of the borough––one of the friends ends up seriously wounded. Determined to avenge the maiming, the buddies team up to track down the villain. The modest, low-budget drama would probably have been lost to time if it weren’t for a brief appearance by Miss Congeniality herself, Sandra Bullock. Sandy unbuckles her bra for what would be the first of only two early-career reveals––a rare treat indeed.
