Like many young girls growing up in middle America, Alyson Stoner dreamed of the bright lights of Hollywood. As a kid she took dance classes and loved it then began modeling. In 2000 she was named Best Model of the Year by the International Modeling and Talent Association. Being hot and able to dance landed her several spots as a backup dancer in music videos for artists like Missy Elliott, Eminem, and Will Smith. Modeling and dancing led to a gig co-hosting the Disney Channel show Mike’s Super Short Show. After getting a few small parts in movies like Cheaper by the Dozen (2003), she landed a lead in the Channing Tatum hit Step Up (2006) and her career officially took off. Over the next 10 years she would appear in numerous TV shows and movies, do voice over work for several video games including the Kingdom Hearts series, and release two albums as well as contributing to the soundtracks for multiple movies and TV shows. She had a minor hit with the song “We Rock” from the Camp Rock Soundtrack.
