Angie Milliken is an Aussie with a sexy accent that matches her uncommonly good looks. The precocious blonde has stuck mostly to Australian fare, appearing in America in only a few episodes of the sci-fi series Farscape. She made her big screen debut in 1990’s Harbour Beat in a bit part that garnered her very little recognition. She changed all of that with her role in Act of Necessity that same year, which won a role for her in the hit mini-series The Paper Man. In 1993, Angie took a recurring role in the made-for-TV series The Feds which won her critical acclaim and offers from every major filmmaker in Australia. It was her role in 1996’s Dead Heart that first perked my ears up. She stars as “Kate,” the wife of a school teacher who has an affair that sets off a racial “war” between the colonial white oppressors and the Aboriginal natives. That very affair, which is captured on film for posterity, leaves absolutely nothing to the imagination, although it is inter-cut with scenes from a church service that, while being symbolic and all, is a real buzz-killer.
