Born in Dresden, Germany in 1899, Anita Berber was a pioneer of onstage and on-screen nudity. Back in the days when restrictions were much looser, especially overseas, Anita managed to carve out quite a career for herself! She made 26 films from 1918-1925, including Eerie Tales (1919) and Die vom Zirkus (1922), though most of those have long since been forgotten. Sadly, she died from tuberculosis at age 29, but thanks to the documentary Legendary Sin Cities (2005), we can relive her most skinsational scenes of all time!
