Some people love the movie Showgirls (1995) and then are people like April Kidwell who have turned the film into a way of life. April first rose to prominence in the theatre scene for her spot-on portrayal of Elizabeth Berkley's character Nomi in the Off-Broadway production Showgirls: The Musical. Several years later, April debuted a one woman show entitled I, Nomi, which takes elements of Showgirls and I, Tonya (2017), combining them into a show-stopping feat of acting that has to be seen to be believed. The documentary You Don't Nomi (2019) about the cult surrounding Showgirls features footage from Kidwell's performance in Showgirls: The Musical, including one of her many terrific topless scenes in the show!
