You may know this Spanish singer-actress by another name: Memé, one of the artist in the musical group Rigoberta Bandini (Belén happens to be cousins with the head of the project, Paula Ribó). If not, you may recognize her voice, as she has been dubbing roles for TV and films since 2003, including The King’s Speech, Frozen, and Maleficent. In 2019, Belén made her debut in front of the camera in the miniseries The Living NEET and then in 2022, she created and starred in what is sure to be her lasting legacy, Autodefensa, the sitcom made with her close friend Berta Prieto and director Miguel Ángel Blanca. It may be the first time a series was inspired by a drunk Instagram rant, but we’re thankful it happened because it led to some great, unapologetic nudity from Belén and Co.
