Actress Cheryl Ann Wilson is a woman of mystery. Usually such parts in Hollywood are filled by slinky brunettes with hooded eyelids and tight, sensual, sneering lips. Playing against accepted type, Cheryl Ann is remembered as a delightful imp of a blonde nymph, her twinkle and pearly teeth lightening the melodramatics as muffy Megan Hathaway for two years on the daytime gut wrencher Days of Our Lives, as scrappy Kate Wells for two seasons of Capitol, and as mellow-looking Sandra Mills for a spell on Santa Barbara. What strange force possessed Cheryl Ann to change her name to Miranda Wilson? What unfortunate compunction caused her to withdraw from skinema right after she first flashed her flesh in the horror feature flick Cellar Dweller (1988)? That's not to say that she stopped acting, though. Cheryl Ann, turned Miranda, finished out the '80s in the TV series Wolf and spent the '90s in the TV series Histoires d'amour (Love Stories), the short The Last Supper (1993), and two Carmen Sandiego video games. She acted only sporadically in the 2000s but made a resurgence in the 2010s via roles in movies like Shamitabh (2015), High Strung (2016), and Yellow Jacket (2017) and the TV shows Mirrors and Halo. She mysteriously decided to keep her clothes glued on for all of her projects over the last three decades.
