It’s normal to have a generic character name for your debut, just as Jenny Hanley did—what matters, though, is what the credit is for. Named “Irish Girl” (or “Italian Girl,” depending on where you’re reading the credits), Jenny’s big screen debut was On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969), playing a Bond girl to George Lazenby’s 007. What a way to start! She went on to make a round of horror films, including Scars of Dracula(1970), Tam Lin with Ava Gardner, and The Flesh and Blood Show (1972), where it appears she introduces the world to her naked form. Mr. Skin doesn’t know who that luscious derriere or beautiful breast belongs to, but it isn’t Jenny, as she used a body double in the film—and really, based on what the actress has stuffed in her bra prior to the big switch, it’s quite possible she traded up (and why wouldn’t she??). Despite playing a character named Miss Teenage Lust in a film called It’s Not the Size That Counts (1974), about a man with the world’s first penis transplant discovering men are impotent because of a chemical in the water supply, Jenny does not reveal her true self in any future endeavors. She does star as herself as a TV presenter for Saturday Night at the Mill from 1980-1981, and was in the Dictionary Corner on Countdown for 43 episodes from 1992-1996 (no, Mr. Skin doesn’t know what that means either). As an actress, the red-haired Brit was Magda in The Persuaders! TV series in 1971 with Tony Curtis and another 007, Roger Moore; and had a recurring role as Sara Hawkins in the BBC police drama Softly Softly: Task Force from 1972-1975. Girl done good!
