Katherine Cannon first shared her girl-next-door good looks with the viewing public when she landed the role of Sheba on Harold Robbins's The Survivors. She liked the small screen and bounced her buxom body in guest starring parts on shows such as Gunsmoke, The Streets of San Francisco, Emergency!, Ironside, and Cannon (no relation). That was much to William Conrad's relief, as the heavy-set actor probably tried to get Katherine to play with his cannon on the set. Everybody found out why Katherine was such a hot property when she ended up in Private Duty Nurses (1971), wherein the svelte brunette exposes her charms for the only time onscreen. She plays one of a trio of naked candy stripers who find time to fight a drug ring, racism, and murder while getting it on with their happy patients. Kat's supple suck-sacks will certainly raise your blood pressure. She followed that up with Women in Chains (1972), which sounds promising but is a made-for-TV movie and not skin friendly. Katherine never broke out from the clothing restraints of TV, appearing on Baa Baa Black Sheep but not revealing her more wolfish side. She continued to act until the early 2000s. Shattered Lies (2002), Down the Barrel (2003), and a 2004 episode of She Spies were her final credits until she came out of retirement for a role in the 2012 miniseries Fowl Play. She disappeared again and we haven't seen her since. Mr. Skin hopes Katherine will return to her nursing days soon.
