King Princess is the stage name of Mikaela Mullaney Strauss, a New York singer-songwriter who got into music thanks to her father, Oliver H. Straus Jr, who was a recording engineer at Mission Sound. She actually moved to Los Angeles after high school to study at the USC Thornton School of Music, but dropped out to pursue her music career full time.
