Kota is a newcomer in more ways than one. She only began her on screen career in 2022, when she appeared in an episode of the third season of Hulu’s spooky anthology series Bite Size Halloween. That was Kota’s only acting credit until 2024, when she landed the lead role in the romantic indie Tendaberry. She plays a twenty-three year old Dominican-American woman living in Brooklyn with her Ukrainian boyfriend, Yuri (Yuri Pleskun). When Yuri goes back to Ukraine to visit his sick father, he ends up getting stuck there when Russia invades, and in his absence Dakota’s world seems to slowly unravel. One review insists that Kota and Dakota share a lot in common (like names, for one), and though we don’t know much about Kota’s background or personal life, we can note that Kota seems comfortable in Dakota’s skin - or what little we see of it when she’s changing clothes and laying around in skimpy bikini tops. Suffice to say, we're berry interested in seeing what Kota does next!
