Randy fans of TV and action flicks from the 1970s and ’80s are likely to recognize the hazel eyes, dark hair and luscious lips of character actress Lenore Kasdorf. Even though her last name isn’t one you could imagine seeing in lights, her bright presence was enough to illuminate the boob tube! In addition to portraying promiscuous nurse Rita Stapleton Bauer on the daytime drama Guiding Light (1975-1981), Lenore popped up on other soap operas (Days of Our Lives and Santa Barbara). The funny fox also landed the part of Beth Fox in the sitcom Coach (1989-1992). But throughout most of her career, the hardworking hottie sizzled on the small screen with prime roles on primetime crime shows (including Ironside, Knight Rider, Jake and the Fatman, Cannon, Barnaby Jones, High Incident, The Streets of San Francisco, and Murder, She Wrote). No stranger to science fiction, Ms. Kasdorf could be seen in spacey series (Babylon 5 and Star Trek: The Next Generation) as well as in the sci-fi action adventure Starship Troopers (1997) featuring Denise Richards. Alas, Lenore passed away in 2004, but not before giving her final appearance in the thriller Cellular starring Kim Basinger and Jessica Biel. Yet Mr. Skin will always remamber Lenore for her nude debut in the movie Missing in Action (1984). As Ann Fitzgerald, the pretty performer bared her breasts under duress for hero Chuck Norris! Even though the scene is quick and dimly lit, it’s appreciated in what we feel is an all-too-brief career highlight.
