Lithesome Linda Haynes didn't have a long career but it definitely made Mr. Skin long. She got her start as an uncredited golf caddie in the James Coburn-led comedy In Like Flint (1967). From there she appeared in the Japanese action-adventure flick Latitude Zero (1969), and then she entered the '70s in the TV shows Room 222, Owen Marshall, Counselor at Law, and My Three Sons. In 1973, Linda got her big break in the Pam Grier exploitation film Coffy. Unfortunately, she didn't break out of her clothes despite the fact that Pam and nearly every other actress did. She remained clothed in the feature film The Nickel Ride (1974), an episode of the TV series Paper Moon, the TV movie Judgment: The Court Martial of Lieutenant William Calley (1975), and the major-studio film The Drowning Pool (1975). Despite her skinlessness, Linda's sullen intensity and incredible cheekbones made a major impression, and she was perfectly cast as William Devane’s sidekick in the drive-in revenge epic Rolling Thunder (1977). Too bad that the film took about 15 years to be discovered as a lost classic. Linda returned to a small role in the prison film Brubaker (1980)--which is actually good news, because she displayed her truly fine funbags. But she was otherwise being wasted in films like Human Experiments (1979), although that wasn't wasted on Mr. Skin since she showed all three beautiful Bs. Clearly dissatisfied with the industry, Linda stopped acting the following year and invited Hollywood to kiss her hooters goodbye.
