Don't cry for Lori Petty. The sometimes waif-like, sometimes vixenish starlet has been a featured performer on both the big screen and the small screen, but she has never blossomed into a major media sensation. Here at Mr. Skin, we'll gladly sing Lori's praises. Feisty, tasty, and trim, Petty's rise to skin icon was undermined by roles as the tomboy next door. She played the brash Willie in the supernatural horror film Bates Motel (1987) and the gawky sister of Geena Davis in the beloved sports film A League of Their Own (1992). Pretty Petty was given a lead as the titular tough chick in Tank Girl (1995). Unfortunately, the concept of a female action cartoon hero was slightly ahead of its time, and the film didn't receive the acclaim it deserved. Now Tank Girl has earned its place a cult classic -- everyone should appreciate watching a leggy blonde kick butt! Speaking of her tresses, Lori carved out a comfortable career as a blonde, a redhead, and a brunette, and she even went grey for her recurring guest role on Orange Is The New Black (2014). Sadly, her skin has mostly remained covered up. At least Lori showed her bum in the surf and crime caper Point Break (1991). That brief glimpse of split tail (plus the shot of Lori in a bra and panties in 1999's Blood Money) was just enough to show that we should be crying for ourselves and the many sides of Petty that have gone unseen.
