Born in 1941, this multi-hyphenated entertainer got her start as a cabaret singer before making her screen debut in Il Trovatore (1978). Although she's made her career mostly as a singer, Maria has also appeared in some notable roles over the years, including the gregarious Mama Gigliotti on the long-running series Pizza (2000-2007).
