It was Rogers and Hammerstein the musical The Sound of Music that got this Osaka-born babe interested in performing, driving her to move all the way to New York City to study at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and eventually get work as a dancer on a cruise ship. It led Riko to travel to London and Vienna and work with companies such as Vereinigte Bühnen Wien, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Whole Hog Theatre, and the English National Opera. In 2019 she returned to Japan and got her certification from the Ayako Holistic Academy in the AYAKO Method - a blend of chiropractic care, Active Release Techniques, Shiatsu, and Osteopathy, so when’s not acting, she’s working as a body therapist.
