Thais Valdes started her career in her homeland of Cuba in 1985 with a bit part in A Girlfriend for David, and although she is widely considered a fairly bright star in that country, her career ever since has been spotty, at best. Her next movie, Too Afraid of Life or Splat didn’t appear until 1988, and after a brief run in the early 1990s, Thais disappeared again for about four years before making another film, Little Tropikana in 1998. Thais is skintastic as Carla Perez with her sexy scenes in the TV film Nada+ from 2001, she seems to be back on track now, mostly due to her titular turn in 1999’s Paradise Under the Stars, which is about Thais aspiring to being a cabaret dancer whilst falling in love with her brother, although neither of them know that they are related, or something like that. We wouldn’t know; we were too busy admiring Thais’ butter-bags during her many topless scenes.
