Six teenage counselors in short shorts arrive at a camp in the woods in hopes of getting laid . . . only, in true horror-movie tradition, they wind up getting slayed. Written in eight hours, shot over two days, and with a purported $200 budget--most of which was spent on T-shirts and beer--Camp Blood: The Musical (2005), is a non-stop gore n’ boobfest set to a hilarious sing-along synth soundtrack. Camp Blood strips the typical plot of the classic makeout-and-murder 1980s slasher flick down to its bare-bones basics with the addition of tongue-in-cheek tunes such as “And the Tops Come Off.” And come off they do, gratuitously and with zeal, thanks to naked newcomers Ashley Hanna and Emma Manion.
