Rachele (Denise Tantucci) returns to her hometown to celebrate the 25th wedding anniversary of her parents Mario (Giorgio Tirabassi) and Anja (Anita Caprioli). The couple may appear tender and respectable to outsiders, but at home with their daughter they’ve displayed nothing but a dark toxicity for years. This means the only love Rachele has ever seen has been full of fear and pain, so the chance she’ll ever recognize the real thing in herself of anyone else is slim.
