An officer in the German Federal Border Patrol discovers unexpected romance on the Ukranian-Polish border in the German television drama Der Grenzer und das Mädchen (2005). Axel Prahl plays the officer who’s assigned to bring the Eastern European nations up to EU standards. His work takes a back seat, however, to a budding relationship with Lippa (Margarita Breitkreiz), a Ukrainian beauty with a dark secret life.
