Nude: Kuutamolla 2002 Nude Scenes

Distributed internationally as Lovers and Leavers, Aku Louhimies’s Finnish drama Kuutamolla (2002) resembles a Hollywood romantic comedy shot through with Scandinavian style. Minna Haapkylä stars as Iiris Vaara, an attractive twenty-something who’s looking to settle down with Mr. Right. Vaara scours bars and parties for the handsome hero worth her trouble and ends up discovering quite a bit of heartache in the process. Louhimies’s protagonist is a bona fide film buff, and the movie contains copious references to Hollywood blockbusters. Nevertheless Vaara’s a star in her own right, as she proves by yanking her bra off during countless encounters with new boyfriends. If only American chick flicks boasted this much free flesh.
