A pair of star-crossed lovers are kept apart by their social standing in the series La señora. 1920s Spain, the Marquez family are part of the wealthy bourgeoisie that live in the North, while the Ruiz family are poor miners. The two groups never interact with each other until Victoria Marquez (Adriana Ugarte) falls in love with Angel Ruiz (Rodolfo Sancho). They believe that their love can overcome all barriers, and there will be plenty since the miners are planning a strike and Victoria’s father plans to wed her to a wealthy merchant.
