A man investigates the mysterious suicide of his sister in Murk (2005). Jacob’s (Nikolaj Lie Kaas) sister, Julie (Lotte Bergstrøm), was left severely disabled after an attempted drowning, so he is surprised when she announces her sudden engagement to Anker (Nicolas Bro), a man she met on the internet. On her wedding night, Julie successfully takes her own life and Anker seems inconsolable. A few months later, Jacob finds Anker living in a new town and engaged to another handicapped woman, Hanne (Lærke Winther Andersen).
