A spinster makes a deal with the devil in My Life Is Hell (1991). Leah (Josiane Balasko) hasn’t had much luck finding a man thanks to her overbearing mother and dowdy looks. But when she reads a mysterious description etched on her mother’s mirror, the Devil’s servant Abargadon (Daniel Auteuil) appears and offers to grant a wish in exchange for her soul. But the contract was supposed to be offered to Leah’s hedonistic mom, and Abargadon is in big trouble.
