The supernatural thriller Out of the Dark (2014) follows Sarah (Julia Stiles), an American woman whose father (Stephen Rea) has been running a manufacturing plant in South America for some years. When he dies, he leaves the plant to her, and she relocates her husband (Scott Speedman) and daughter (Pixie Davies) to the jungles of South America. It isn't long before they find themselves being haunted by the ghosts of children, which leads them to discover the secret and hideous history of her father's business and the exploitation of the local people.
