Much like chick flicks He’s Just Not That Into You and What To Expect When You’re Expecting, this rom com finds its roots in a self help book, Relationship Goals: How To Win At Dating, Marriage, And Sex by real-life Oklahoma megachurch pastor Michael Todd. He even shows up as himself, after we’re introduced to Leah (Kelly Rowland), a hard-working producer on the television morning show Better Day USA who is gunning to replace outgoing showrunner Dan Milken (Matt Walsh). But instead of getting the job outright, she’s made to compete with her ex, nightly news man Jarret (Cliff “Method Man” Smith), as they work on a story together about Pastor Todd and his book. Of course, their spark is reignited, and at one point when Leah is trying and failing to slip out of bed with him undetected, we see her bouncing around in a strapless bra while getting dressed. This brief tease only reaffirms our goal to see Kelly go nude again!
