A self-loathing female entertainment-industry professional squares off against a Syrian-American cab driver in the off-kilter indie Sorry, Haters (2005). Robin Wright sinks her teeth into the role of a wealthy suburbanite eccentric, who’s busy stalking her ex-husband when cabbie Ashade (Abdellatif Kechiche) is unfortunate enough to pick her up. At first, the Syrian Muslim is sympathetic to the busybody businesswoman’s emotional troubles, but when his sister-in-law gets cuffed by the cops, Ashade realizes that his fare is deranged and dangerous. Sorry, Haters? Sorry, Skinhounds! Robin never strips, but she does look cute as a kitten in her tight-fitting panties.
