90s teen heartthrob and everyone’s favorite Star Wars authority Freddie Prinze Jr plays Thomas, a suburban husband, father, and businessman who’s going through a typical mid-life crisis - complete with a predictable affair with a younger woman named Hannah (Gabrielle Haugh). He comes home from work early on his birthday to get ready to meet his wife Kristen (Monica Potter, Prinze’s costar in the 2001 rom-com Head Over Heels) and their adult kids (Tyler Lawrence Gray and Brielle Barbusca) for dinner, but then Hannah shows up. The two end up in the pool where we see Gabrielle stripped down to her bra and panties, and things turn super steamy - until the scene shifts to Thomas finding her floating face down, dead. He frantically tries to clean up and hide the body, though we still don’t know what exactly happened to her and who did it. Things get even more complicated when guests start arriving - turns out there’s actually a surprise birthday party being held at the house for Thomas, and now he has to make sure nobody, for instance, his nosy father-in-law William (Kevin Pollack), discovers her corpse. Though we get to see more of Gabrielle in flashbacks, whether in the pool or out, she sadly never steps out of those wet undergarments. Haugh rude!
