The ’70s thriller The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane (1976) stars Jodie Foster as Rynn Jacobs, a recently orphaned fourteen-year-old who’s keeping her father’s death a secret, Where the Lilies Bloom-style, so that she won’t fall into the hands of social workers.
