This comedy consists of three separate tales of women written and directed by Loren Taylor, who also stars as one of the trio. Her Briar is an anesthetist involved in a long-distance relationship with Tim (Robbie Magasiva), who happens to be her sister’s ex-boyfriend. Their Skype-sex has been lackluster lately so Tim suggest they go camping together, but the trip goes horrible awry, with Briar getting her period and accidentally injuring a large bird. Then there’s Natalia (Victoria Haralabidou), a Russian mail order bride who arrives in New Zealand to marry Mac (Jemaine Clement) and help him run a garage coffee-bar/cafeteria that turns out to not exist. Finally, there’s Faith (Elizabeth Hawthorne), whose husband has just purchased a bunch of apartments. When she goes to check them out, she discovers one of the tenants has died and decides to handle the funeral arrangements and the disposal of the woman’s ashes.
