Dawn (Miranda Cosgrove) is an aspiring metal sculptor working as a waitress in a small Texas town to try and save up so she can attend a prestigious art school in Paris. Upon getting accepted, Dawn realizes there is no way she’ll be able to raise the tens of thousands of dollars in tuition in time, especially after using most of her savings to cover the healthcare expenses for her grandmother (Frances Fisher). So Dawn and her sister Emily (Emilija Baranac) come up with a devious plan - Dawn will apply to be a contestant on a Bachelor-esque reality series called The Honey Pot that just so happens to be filming in Paris. Once she arrives in the City of Lights via a free plane ticket from the show and scores the sweet $20,000 appearance fee, she’ll simply get herself eliminated in the first round and be on her way. Easy peasy, right? Except the show’s producer, Rachel (Yvonne Orji), has come up with a ratings-grabbing plot twist: the contestants are not sent to France, but to Paris, Texas instead, where they will vie for the hand of Trey McAllen III (Pierson Fodé), a wealthy ranch owner whom Dawn coincidentally had a flirtatious meet-cute with days earlier. Dawn’s competition includes Christin Park, Veronica Long, Hannah Stocking, Madeleine Arthur, and Madison Pettis - the latter playing a social media influencer who’s really in it to win it guessing by the number of bikinis she packed for the trip. She dons one while riding a mechanical bull and another while she and the cowboy share some champagne and smooches. If lusting after Madison is wrong, we don’t want to be right!
