The Japanese fright flick Tomie (1999) stars Nakamura Mani as an amnesiac high-school girl whose hypnotherapy sessions cause her to recall the murder and decapitation of her friend Tomie (Miho Kanno). Meanwhile, the police are investigating a string of brutal murders that all seem, impossibly, to have the same victim—Tomie.
