A young man hops out of the frying pan and into the fire twice over in the made-for-TV French melodrama Tomorrow Belongs to Us (2003). After miraculously surviving a dangerous fall, Marc (Raphaël Personnaz) is asked to stay overnight in the hospital, where he’s diagnosed with leukemia. Desperate to get a handle on his life, Marc flees to Portugal, where he meets an exotic beauty (Stéphanie Pasterkamp) who treats him to a passionate love affair. Thinking that he’s again found some semblance of happiness, Marc’s thrown for a loop once again when the beauty ditches him in an instant. It’s a topsy-turvy ride, but when things are up they’re way up--it’s hard to beat Pasterkamp letting down her top in the hot, hot sun.
