It’s obvious from the get-go that Cassandra (Zulay Henao) is trying to escape a dark past, which is why she moves back in with her mother and tries to start her life over. That means getting a new job as a maid at a local hotel, where she literally bumps into one of her coworkers, Erik (Flex Alexander). Sparks fly between them despite Erik being married to the hotel manager, Helen (Shalèt Monique). But they keep things platonic until one night while walking home alone, Cassandra is attacked by some thugs and Erik fights them off.
