Japanese audiences were introduced to Akari Fukuyama in 2016 in the television miniseries Utenai keikan, followed in 2018 with her big screen debut in mystery Kanojo wa hitori. A year later, she nabbed her first starring role in Beyond The Night while appearing in the series The Real Thing and its subsequent film. Her second starring role came in 2022, as the lead in the erotic drama Hand from Daigo Matsui, a modern “pinku” film that focuses more on the female aspect of sex and pleasure. Akari plays the main character of Sawako, an office worker who tends to be fascinated more by older men, but embarks on a passionate, sex-filled romance with a young co-worker.
